The London Sinfonietta gave the polish premiere of Illusions on Saturday evening, 20th September, at the Warsaw Autumn Festival, conducted by Geoffrey Patterson. The piece, featuring David Hoyle on video, rails against gender norms, the corruption of democracy, heteronormativity and the military-industrial complex, and calls for revolution — all with a cheeky smile and some boisterous music.
